Reasons to eat tomatoes

 One medium tomato or seven cherry tomatoes will count for one of the recommended five fruit and vegetable portions we should eat everyday.
Tomatoes are packed with immune-boosting vitamins A and C and carbs.
The red colour is lycopene, a powerful disease-fighting compound that’s thought to have strong anti-cancer properties. It may combat certain cancers, including prostate, pancreas, bowel and breast. Your body will best absorb the lycopene if you eat tomatoes with healthy fat-rich foods like avocado, olive oil or nuts.
Tomatoes are high in fibre, plus potassium and niacin, which all lower cholesterol.
They’re not just for salads, tomatoes are incredibly versatile, making great sauce bases for pasta dishes, rost, curries, soups pizza toppings etc, it is importart of indian food when added to any vegitable increases taste.
